Happy Halloween

I've posted a few pictures and entries onto Jack's website. Included is the story about Jack's first trip to the Emergency Room and pictures of him in his first Halloween costume. Jack is growing so fast, I'm hoping he'll still get to wear this outfit on Halloween! He's only 11 weeks but is about to outgrow all of his 6-9 mo outfits! When we took him to the doctor last Monday he was already 15.5 lbs (He is bigger and taller than 90% of all other babies his age)!

What day is it???

I have been so bad about keeping up my blog! People told me having a kid would change my life and that I wouldn't get any sleep for the first few weeks/months. However, I don't think ... wait ... I know ... I wasn't prepared for this! Needless to say, we have at least been able to keep up with the pictures. I Cut My Hair!!! Jenny McCarthy Style

Hi All - I cut my hair!!! I used Jenny McCarthy as my "inspiration" style. Let me know what you think. I posted a picture of me before, after (w/ Jack) and Jenny. Can you tell who is who??? Haha. There was almost 12 inches of hair which I plan on donating to Locks of Love. Anyways, things are going great for the Shepherds. Jack is a great baby. He's my little angel. I love him soooo much! Scott goes back to work tomorrow and I'll be home alone w/ Jack. Wish me luck!

IT"S A BOY!!!

Jack is finally here! He was born on Aug 7, 2008 at 5:44 pm. He was 6 lbs 15 oz and 19.5 in long. After 10 hrs of labor he was born via C-Section. However, everyone is doing well. The Shepherd family is home now and Daddy had been taking great care of us. In fact, he recently set up a site on Shutterfly to share all of the pictures from Jack's birth. Belly Pics

I can tell I am nearing the end of the pregnancy. I am beginning to think each contraction is a reminder from Jack to post the belly pictures before he is born. So (finally) ... here they are!

(Just a side note, the number of weeks are how I'm being tracked by my doc. However, I really think I'm 2 weeks further along.)

First ... thank you!

You have all been telling me for quite some time I need to start a blog. It took Cindy actually starting this page, for me to join the blogging world! So with that said, thank you Thia for setting this up for me and getting me started. You are an awesome friend (and not just because you did this)!

Though not atypical for the Shepherds, this last year has been a whirlwind of activity and changes. Between me starting a business and going overseas, Scott changing jobs, moving to Houston, finding out we were pregnant, and continuing our real estate investments, we have had a lot of life changes. With that said, I think there is too much to write in just one blog.

I expect I may have some time on my hands soon. That being the case, I plan on providing my "Shepherd Shenanigans" update over the last year a piece at a time. Hopefully, by the time our little guy is born, I will have at least posted the belly pictures everyone has been requesting!
